Since 1997, Dr. Joyce Battaglia has been a trusted and caring presence in the Huntersville and Lake Norman communities, offering gentle, thoughtful chiropractic care for patients of all ages. She holds a North Carolina Chiropractic License (earned in 1996) and brings decades of experience, compassion, and dedication to every patient she serves.

Dr. Battaglia is a proud Cum Laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the very first chiropractic college in the world. Before that, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, Magna Cum Laude, from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York. Her foundation in science, paired with her intuitive and nurturing approach, allows her to support her patients with both knowledge and heart.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Battaglia stays current with the latest advances in chiropractic care by attending seminars taught by leading experts in the field. Her training includes a special focus on prenatal and pediatric chiropractic care, for which she earned certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). She is also certified in the Webster Technique, a gentle and specific chiropractic method designed to encourage optimal pelvic alignment and ideal fetal positioning during pregnancy.

Whether she’s caring for a mom-to-be, a busy professional, or a child with growing pains, Dr. Battaglia provides individualized, unrushed care in a warm and supportive environment. Her toolbox includes a wide range of techniques so that each patient’s treatment can be tailored to their unique needs.

These include:

  • Activator Methods Technique

  • Logan Basic Technique

  • Palmer Package Techniques

  • Thompson Technique

  • TRT (Torque Release Technique)

  • SOT (Sacral Occipital Technique)

  • Webster Technique

A Passion for Education and Empowerment

In addition to her hands-on care, Dr. Battaglia has always had a passion for educating others. She authored a popular health column, "Chiropractic Q & A," which was featured weekly in the Lake Norman Gazette and Gaston Gazette, and monthly in A Peak at Summit magazine, which reached over 180,000 readers across the Southeast and Northeast. In her articles, she shared practical, empowering advice on a wide range of health topics, always with her signature warmth and clarity. Many of these articles are still available at Lakeside Chiropractic of Lake Norman.
